Hello!
My name is Dave Miller and I have started Accents Woodcraft to share one of my passions, woodworking, and provide an outlet for creativity and share these creations with others (and maybe recoup some of the costs). I have been working with wood for 3o years, but just over the past year, have been finding my niche and combining my love of technology with the creation of wooden art. This came to fruition in April of 2022 when I purchased a CNC machine. My original reason was to help me with the creation of rustic American Flags. I was hand-carving the 50 stars and it took me a long time to do that. I tried using a template and router, but still was not satisfied with the quality. Little did I (or my wife) realize that this machine would open up so many more creative outlets for me. In fact, I did not do my first rustic American Flag until last November.
My first project was a wolf (pictured left) that I made for my brother-in-law as a thank-you for his help with adding the electrical outlets needed for this new “hobby”. I then made a sign for my mother-in-law and then a birthday gift for a neighbor’s daughter. Soon others were also wanting to even purchase my creations. Through Facebook, I sold several dozen Halloween lanterns among other things. I decided to go for it and start be a bit more formal and start a real business. I came up with the name Accents Woodcraft because I was making accents for a home or office, plus, the domain was available too!
The process has been slow, much slower than I had hoped. As of now, my website is still incomplete, but I’m working on it and hope to have it up and running soon! In fact, I’m in the process of photographing the items and hope to start adding them to the website very soon. I will still need to do some testing of the shopping cart and all that other fun stuff. In the meantime, I do have a Facebook page where I post some items and updates and you can message me if you are interested in something or just have questions.
I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you! Thanks for stopping by!
